Meet Sagu!

It’s official: the Pacific white-sided dolphin calf has a name. For the last few weeks, we asked you—our members, fans and supporters—to help us choose the perfect name for Piquet’s 4-month-old calf. We want to thank everyone who voted (there were more than 9,300 votes!), our wonderful student ambassadors, and our partners NBC Chicago, Telemundo Chicago and The Chicago Sun-Times for sharing stories about this incredible species. Be sure to visit Sagu (SAH-goo, meaning “joy”) in the Abbott Oceanarium, where you can find him swimming with mom Piquet and the rest of the pod.
